First-time patients frequently have questions about what to expect at their initial chiropractic visit. During a typical appointment, you can expect to have a conversation about your health concerns, undergo a thorough physical examination, receive treatment, and establish a follow-up plan tailored to your needs.

Initial Consultation - First Visit

When patients seek our services, they often come with specific health concerns that require careful attention. To thoroughly understand the history of these conditions, the initial appointment generally lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the complexity of the case. During this time, we will conduct a comprehensive history and physical examination to identify the most effective treatment options. We encourage patients to bring any previous imaging, such as X-rays or MRIs, as this information can greatly enhance our understanding of their condition. The initial evaluation may also indicate the need for additional imaging studies. The first consultation typically includes:

  1. A detailed review of your medical history

  2. An assessment of posture

  3. An evaluation of range of motion

  4. Palpation to identify specific areas of concern

  5. A thorough orthopedic and neurological examination

  6. Treatment or adjustment, if deemed appropriate based on the findings

Report of Findings

During the second appointment, we will review the findings from your initial visit and provide an explanation of any X-rays that were taken, if applicable. We will also discuss the underlying causes of your condition, explore how chiropractic care may assist you, outline potential recovery timelines, identify factors that could influence your healing process, and recommend a tailored care plan that may include rehabilitation strategies.
